Catching Up

It's been awhile since I've blogged. I just don't have much blogging mojo lately. But I need to get it back, so here I am.

Spring is almost here and all I can think about is that my babies are growin up! Gia had her 6 month check-up two weeks ago. The stats are in, she's a big fine woman! She's 20.5 pounds, which puts her in the 99th percentile and she is 28.5 inches long, putting her in the 100th percentile for height.

Angelo went in a week before Gia for his 2 1/2 year check-up. He was 30 pounds and 39 inches tall. He was in the 100th percentile for height as well. I didn't know that they did 2 1/2 year check-ups but my doctor told me it's mostly to find out how kids are doing with their language skills. After Angelo told our ped that he was going to California for his birthday in August on an airplane to see whales, which start with "W", he said he didn't think there were any issues! When the doctor asked if I had any concerns I said, "only that he's still pooping in his pants!" He didn't seem to think that was as big of an issue an me, however I'm sure that's because he's not the one cleaning poop out of underwear daily! How does a child master the potty training and not the poopy part?

After Gia's appointment we unfortunatly did leave with some concerns. The kind that leave a mom awake at night with worry. Gia's spine is quite noticeably curving to the right. She goes in this week to an orthopedic specialist to check for scoliosis. I know in the whole scheme of things this is no big deal...but still, I am a mom so I worry. And after a few google searches and you tube videos, I worry even more. But Thursday I'll find out the facts and that will help alleviate my out of control thoughts. In the mean time say a little prayer that she'll straighten out. Oh and one for Angelo to straighten "up" wouldn't hurt either!

This past weekend we went to visit cousins! My two cousins Ashley and Erika had baby girls this summer/fall as well. So it was fun to see the little girls together.

From left to right: Erika and Harper, Me and Gia, Ashley and Hazel.
You might remember this glamour shot from before we had our beautiful girls. I think we're all very happy not to be wearing maternity clothing anymore!

Here's a few shots of Gia with her little friends. It's funny how already they all look soo different and have such different personalities. I can't wait to watch them grow up. Hazel is a little monkey and about to take off crawling any moment. Gia is so pudgy she can barely sit up. And Harper is going to be the long lenghthy one of the bunch.

Gia and Hazel were drinking their bottles and my grandpa looked over and said, "She won't eat all that right now will she?" Umm why yes she will! That's why she's bootylicious!

I'm going to try and post more...I promise! I miss my bloggy friends!
